Villages of Piscataquis County Update:

As the year is coming to an end and our project is reaching a milestone I thought it time to bring everyone up to speed.
Signs:
Presently we have 13 signs up. 3 in Milo, 3 in Brownville, 2 in Sangerville, 2 in Abbot, 1 in Guilford, 1 in Sebec, and 1 in Shirley.
We have 10 more signs in varying degrees of production. Most of them are written and edited and are waiting for photos. One is at AMB ready for final editing. George has logged 100’s of hours working on these signs, gathering photos, researching, meeting with towns and historical societies, and putting the signs in the ground!
We are waiting for additional funding to get these 10 ready signs completed.
Audio:
The east loop is almost done!  After many hours of editing and several trips around the loop the recording and mixing is in its final stages. We have 3 male and 2 female voices, local stories, and lots of great original music!
We also have a draft narrative for the west loop and will begin work on finishing that after the first of the year. This has been a great learning experience for us all!

We will have a finished audio (east loop) by year’s end and the website upgraded as well.

However, we will need funding before we can produce any more signs. So we will be exploring various avenues to raise those funds.
